Power shutdown in many areas today

Bangalore Dec. 6. There will be no power supply in many areas in Bangalore on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. According to BESCOM, it is resorting to the shutdown to enable it to take up maintenance of installations. The areas which will be affected are:

NRS sub-station: Rajajinagar Industrial Estate, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Block of Rajajinagar, Shivanahalli, Manjunatha Nagar, Industrial Estate, Bhuvaneswari Nagar, 1st and 2nd Stage, `N' Block of Rajainagar Post Office area, RPC Layout, Hosahalli, Vijayanagar M.C. Layout, Pipe Line Road, Chandra Layout, Nagarbhavo, and Magadi Road.

`A' station areas: Bangalore Medical College and surrounding areas, J.C. Road, Garden Street, Nagarathpet, Thiglarpet, part of Cottonpet, Gandhinagar, and surrounding areas, Avenue Road, Gudapanth Street, Madhavanagar, Race Course Road, Kumara Park West, Sankey Road, Windsor Manor, Ashoka Hotel, Cuningham Road, Vasanthnagar, Subedar Chatram Road, Seshadri Road, Tank Bund Road, Goods Shed Road, B.V.K. Iyengar Road, and surrounding areas, Chickpet, Balepet, Binny Mill area, Goripalya, and surrounding areas, Palace Road, part of Okalipuram, part of Srirampuram, Swatantrapalya, Nehru Nagar, Sweepers' Colony, Link Road, Lower Pipe Line, Mohamedan Block, Raja Mill Quarters, Vallavapuram, part of Malleswaram from Sampige Road to 11th Main Road, E.D. Hospital, Binnyston Garden, Magadi Road 1st Cross to 5th Cross, left side of Binnypet, Anjanappa Garden, C.R.P. Quarters, Sultanpet, Akkipet, Jolli Mohalla, Flower Garden, T.C.M. Victoria Hospital sub-station: Victoria Hospital compound, City Market and surrounding areas, Kalasipalyam Main Road, K.R. Road, Bamboo Bazar, J.C. Road, N.R. Road, A.V. Road, Chamrajpet, Kumabarpet, Mothinagar, Kalasipalyam New Extension, Basappa Circle, Minerva Circle, Mariswamy Math, Taxi Stand, Old Madras Soap Factory area, part of Avenue Road, Godown Street and surrounding areas, Gandhi Bazar and surrounding areas, Bull Temple Road, V.V. Puram, Parvathipura, National College Road, K.I.M.S. Hospital, and Chamarajpet 1st main to 5th Main.
