Personal touch

Sir, — A hand written letter from loved ones transmits warmth the moment it arrives. The familiar handwriting conveys an intimacy. Unfortunately, technology has dealt a blow to this practice. Can greeting cards with printed words written on them ever elicit the same feelings as a personally written postcard? A campaign to revive this vanishing art should be launched.
