Letters to the Editor
Sir, I refer to the article, " Funding higher education " (Oct. 21). A university student spends about Rs. 400 on personal expenses. But college fee rarely crosses Rs. 100 a month. The Delhi University charges Rs.15 and Rs.18 a month for undergraduate and post-graduate courses. It is impossible to ascertain the paying capacity of a student. Higher education should cost at least twice the fee paid in school.
