The agreements were signed during the visit of the chairman of the Indian Space research Organisation (ISRO), K. Kasturirangan, to Israel, last week. The ISRO chief met Israel's Science and Technology Minister, Eliezer Sandberg, and the Director of Israel Space Research, Avi Hareven, and exchanged information about the ongoing developments in space research. A spokesperson of the Science and Technology Ministry said the Minister expressed "satisfaction at the talks and agreements reached" and lauded the progress made by India in the field.Mr. Hareven said the two sides "have agreed to the utilisation of each other's assets acquired in the field for civil and peaceful purposes besides looking out for other markets''.
