The BHEL's scope of work in the contract envisages manufacture, supply, testing, erection and commissioning of steam turbine generators, supply of boilers, associated auxiliaries and electrical works for the two units, besides controls and instrumentation and electrostatic precipitators. The turbines and boilers would be manufactured at BHEL's Hardwar and Tiruchi plants, respectively, while the control and instrumentation system would be supplied by the company's electronics division in Bangalore. The BHEL's Hyderabad plant would manufacture the coal mills and boiler feed pumps.
