India in tough group

Chennai July 24. India is clubbed with two tough teams in Korea and Thailand in Pool B of the 13th Asian senior men's volleyball championship to be held at Tianjin (China) from September 5 to 15.

Meanwhile, ten teams will compete in the women's event to be held from Sept. 20 to 27 in (Vietnam).

The groupings:

Men:

Pool A: China, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan; Pool B: Korea, India, Bahrain, Thailand; Pool C: Australia, Chinese Taipei, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan; Pool D: Japan, Iran, Qatar, New Zealand.

Women:

Pool A: Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Chinese Taipei, New Zealand. Pool B: China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Australia, Philippines.
