Khimanand Belwal of Services won the silver medal in the light flyweight category, while Robin Dev, also of Services, secured the second position in the flyweight category, a press release from the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation said. The bronze medal was won by Panka Auri of Haryana. Sixteen countries took part in the tournament which ran from July 16 to 20. Meanwhile, six boxers were being sent to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for a training camp from July 26. Mohammad Ali Qamar, Jitender Kumar, Akhil Kumar, V Harikrishnan, Ramanand and Diwakar Prasad would train in Tashkent till August 13 in preparation for the Commonwealth Boxing championships in Malaysia next month, the Afro-Asian Games and the first Olympic qualifying tournament in Philippines in January next year, the release said. This is the first time that an Indian boxing team would hold its training camp outside the country, it said.G.S. Sandhu will accompany the boxers as coach. PTI
