By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI July 15. The Kerala High Court on Tuesday granted bail to two accused in the Marad carnage case.

Justice R. Basant at the same time dismissed bail petitions filed by the 10th and 94th accused in the case, P.P. Mohammed Koya, Beypore panchayat member, and Sadakathulla, Imam of the Marad Mosque, respectively.

The court ordered that K.P. Subair and P. Akbar, the accused no. 96 and 97, be released on bail on their executing a bond for Rs. 25,000 each with two solvent sureties each to the satisfaction of the court.

The court granted bail to the two accused on the ground that the charge levelled against them was bailable.
