The museum has been enlightening research scholars, visitors and students on various aspects of socio-cultural life of tribal people.
Articles used by tribal communities in today's scientific and modern world have not been added to the museum for many years, according to museum sources who said: ``modernised urban life has deeply influenced the tribal people''.
Meanwhile, the Tribal Research Institute is holding a two-day workshop at Chhindwara from July 21 to discuss ways for enriching the museum.
Representatives from 18 predominantly tribal districts would participate in the workshop.
Scholars studying the life of tribals, journalists, folk artistes, and district level authorities would also take part in the workshop.
The tribal museum of Chhindwara was founded in 1954 in memory of tribal freedom fighter late Badal Bhoi.
