Reliance `victims' want justice

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD July 13. The Reliance Mobile Users Victims Association, which held a "victims' meet" on Sunday, decided to approach the Consumers Forum to seek justice with regard to the promises made by the Reliance. The association president, K. Gopala Krishna, said the Reliance had promised free calls to 104 cities in the State for March and April but had charged all the calls. Moreover, the promised 400 minutes of free talk time was not being extended and every call was being charged citing connectivity charges. He said the company announced a pulse rate of 15 seconds but the call was being charged at one minute. The much-touted `R-World' service was not effective. He claimed the Reliance was issuing threats, verbal as well as through SMS to subscribers for covering up its mistakes. Consumers were also not allowed to quit the service or migrate to other schemes without penalty and with refund of the deposit.
