The other members are: Itkyala Lingam, general secretary, Pasham Surendar, Gopal Jagtap, J.Srikanth and Kamlesh Kashikar, secretaries, K. Sunita Reddy, treasurer. Mr. Ramani said A. Venkatesh had been appointed president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha city wing while K. Jagjeevan Reddy would be general secretary. A. Mahesh had taken over as president of the Bharatiya Janata Dalit Morcha city wing. M. Aruna Jyothi and K.L. Annapurna would be president and general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha city wing respectively. On ties with the ruling TDP, Mr. Ramani said though they shared a good understanding the BJP would not hesitate to launch public agitations to protest against the Government's `anti-people' policies.
Pension for weavers
Meanwhile, the State executive of the weavers' cell of the BJP which met here urged payment of old-age and widow pension to weavers at the rate of Rs. 250 a month as was paid in West Bengal and Kerala. The meeting held under the chairmanship of V. Sriramulu, member, All-India Handloom Board, resented the failure of the Government to check the starvation deaths of weavers.
