MoU signed

By Our Special Correspondent

SHILLONG JULY 13. Two memoranda of understanding were signed between the North-East Federation on International Trade and the Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Chittagong and Sylhet at the end of a two-day seminar on export-promotion here on Saturday to promote the expansion of bilateral trade relations and explore the possibility of joint Indo-Bangladesh ventures.

Both sides agreed to explore and exploit the abundant natural resources of the North-East region and Bangladesh, identify exportable items and to work together to rectify the present trade imbalances between the two countries. The two sides agreed to assist each other to find out ways and means of setting up joint ventures.

The MoU was signed by R.C. Agarwal of NEFIT, A.H.M. Chowdhury of the Chittagong Chamber and Md. Mohiuddin of the Sylhet Chamber.
