WASHINGTON: An expensive trinket stolen from the sets of the Jennifer Lopez-starrer Shall We Dance? was found in a hotel room where a man was murdered. Police in the Canadian province of Manitoba said the necklace, estimated to be worth $4,000, was reported stolen from a prop trailer on the movie's Winnipeg set on July 1. Shall We Dance? stars Lopez as a ballroom-dance instructor who becomes the object of infatuation for Richard Gere, an anguished accountant locked in a languishing marriage to Susan Sarandon. On July 2, a 33-year-old man, Sydney Teerhuis, walked into a Winnipeg police station and confessed to a murder. "He basically turned himself in and said he believed he had committed a murder," a police spokesman said. Teerhuis tipped off police to a crime scene at Winnipeg's Royal Albert Arms Hotel. There, authorities discovered a dismembered body and also the prop. (In picture, Richard Gere rehearses some ballroom dance moves with a dancer at a studio in Winnipeg) ANI
