The win was realised owing to the good showing by Mohun Bagan's Brazilian attack as Jose Barreto scored twice while Marcose Perreira accounted for one in the team's four goals. The remaining one was scored by Ashim Biswas. Playing an inspired first session, Bagan completed its tally before the interval after Barreto opened the scoring in the 26th minute. The Brazilian was again on target 10 minutes later scoring a penalty after Biswas was brought down inside the opponent box. Perreira finished a solo effort to make it 3-0 in the 40th minute while Biswas headed home a Renedy Singh corner to complete the tally a minute before the interval. The win -- coming after its 0-3 humiliation against arch rival Kingfisher East Bengal -- helped Mohun Bagan take its tally to 12 points from five matches. Our Sports Reporter
