`Swarnam 2003' from Oct. 10

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM July 13. The Kerala gold fest, `Swarnam 2003', being organised by Kerala Tourism and the All-Kerala Gold and Silver Merchants' Association in association with the World Gold Council (WGC), will be held in the State from October 10 to November 9 this year.

The Finance Minister, K. Sankaranaryanan, unveiled the logo of the festival at a function attended by the Tourism and Fisheries Minister, K.V. Thomas at the Government Guest House here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister urged all in the jewellery business to provide bills to all customers. Stressing the need for accountability, Mr. Sankaranarayanan said no official would be allowed to harass business people.
