By Our Staff Reporter

KOZHIKODE JULY 13. The Wayanad Nature Protection Council has urged the Government to interfere in the issue of `killing' a wild elephant by passing electric current onto its body while it strayed into Pambra estate in Wayanad.

In a statement here today, the Council secretary, Thomas Ambalavayal, said the estate owner should be arrested in this regard.

He said that the Forest Department and the police were in the dark even after seizing instruments used to provide electric shocks and arresting estate workers.
