IPOs by 5 more firms

NEW DELHI JULY 10. Encouraged by the investors' frenzy for Maruti Udyog Ltd's initial public offering, the Government today decided to come out with IPOs of its residual stakes in top-notch companies such as CMC, IBP, Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. and Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd.

The decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Disinvestment, presided over by the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee. — UNI
