The Trinamool's chief whip in the Assembly, Shobhandeb Chattopadhyay, said today that the legislature party had recommended the suspension yesterday itself. The order was served on him only after the party's disciplinary committee ratified it during the day. Mr. Mukherjee had walked into the Assembly on Wednesday in defiance of Ms Banerjee's decision that the Trinamool would stay away from the current session to protest what she alleged was "terror" unleashed by the State ruling CPI(M) against the Opposition.
