Trupti to take part in World meet

BANGALORE July 10. Trupti Murgunde has been cleared by the Badminton Association of India for the World championship to be held in Birmingham from July 28 to August 4.

Trupti, who had a ranking around 120 (next only to Aparna Popat) when IBF finalised the list in February 2003, has got the nod for the meet. She replaces a Scottish player who withdrew from the championship.

Trupti will be the 10th member of the Indian squad which began its preparations at the Karnataka Badminton Association Stadium here under the supervision of coaches, Vimal Kumar and Ganguly Prasad.
