Launch of Delixus software

TUMKUR JULY 10. The Minister of State for Information Technology and Tourism, D.B.Inamdar (in picture), will launch the Delixus software, developed by Delixus, Inc., U.S., at its Indian branch office, Delixus India, here on Saturday. The software is a set of interoperability servers that combine the freedom, stability, security, power, and performance of Linux with the easy to use functionality of Windows. The breakthrough that has been achieved by the combination is expected to cut costs of ownership of Linux by 80 per cent. Hence, the Delixus software will provide an added edge to small- and medium-scale businessmen, schools, and colleges all over the world. Delixus software has a potential global market. Software business accounts for $ 350 billion of the $ 500 billion computer market. The server business has a share of $ 5 billion. Delixus is aiming at capturing, 10 per cent of the server market.
