dated July 8,1953: Foreign Cricket Team for India

The Tour Sub-Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket which met in New Delhi with President J.C. Mukherjee in the chair, decided to invite a team of foreign cricketers, on the lines of a Commonwealth side, to tour India in the winter of 1953, to mark the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Board.
