Actress' father gets bail

SURAT JULY 4. A local court today granted bail to Surendra Shetty, father of actress Shilpa Shetty, in a case of alleged extortion, but warned him against tampering with evidence.

Mr. Surendra was granted liberty on issuing a surety bond of Rs. 50,000 and he was directed to cooperate in the investigations.

He was also directed to remain present at the Umra police station on the 5th of every month until the charge sheet was filed.
