Andhra Pradesh
By Our Special Correspondent
Speaking to newsmen here today, he said that the beneficiaries should be selected by officials under the supervision of all-party committees. He said lakhs of people were thronging Janmabhoomi meetings to submit their applications for ration cards, house sites, old age pensions and other benefits. But officials were accepting only those applications bearing Janmabhoomi emblem which were available only in TDP offices. He asked the Government to give instructions to officials immediately to accept applications submitted even on plain paper. They should scrutinise all applications received during this and previous Janmabhoomi and extend the benefits to all the eligible persons. Officials can take the help of all-party committees in the selection process.
