The ICC president, Ehsan Mani, said he had discussed the issue with the Indian board president, Jagmohan Dalmiya, and it was agreed that no action would be initiated by the BCCI at this time. ``The ICC is dealing with the claims made by the GCC and the matters being disputed are contractual matters between the ICC and GCC,'' said Mr. Mani, in a press release issued late on Thursday. "On this basis, I have agreed with Mr. Dalmiya that the BCCI would not make any claims against the GCC or initiate any investigations into its marketing activities at the present time". The ICC president also welcomed the comments by the BCCI chief that he would seek to sit down with the ICC to resolve the contractual issues that have arisen between the two bodies. "I look forward to the chance to sit down with Mr. Dalmiya to resolve the outstanding contractual issues and I welcome his comments to resolve these issues in this way,'' he said. The GCC has made a claim against the ICC for damages arising from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 and the ICC is currently developing a comprehensive response to the GCC's claim. It is expected that the process of resolving these matters would take several months.
