Tamil Nadu-Chennai
By Our Special Correspondent
As the conversion work would take at least four months, EMU services on the section will be rescheduled as there will be only one BG and MG line each available for traffic, says an official release. As against the existing 30 pairs of services, only 15 will be operated. The number of BG EMU services will be increased from four to 11 pairs. All the BG and MG EMU services and all MG express and passenger trains (except train 6875 Kamban Express) will stop at all stations between Chengalpet and Tambaram. Revised timings are displayed in all stations. Meanwhile, a BG EMU car shed will be commissioned at Tambaram in the first week of July. As there will be regular movement of EMUs from the shed to Tambaram and vice versa, there will be additional movement across the busy level crossing at Tambaram Sanatorium.
