More security at Army camps

By Our Staff Reporter

Sanjuwan (Jammu) June 30. A multiple-tier security is being planned for the Army camps in Jammu and Kashmir following the attack on the Sanjuwan camp on Saturday.

There are plans to deploy extra personnel at the periphery of the camps. Bunkers would be built at 100 metres interval along the barbed wire fencing separating the camps from the civilian areas. Sniffer dogs may also be pressed into service.

Defence sources said that during his visit to the camp, the Army chief sought to know how the intruders could go as far as Barrack B which was located at the centre of the camp without being noticed.

For the third consecutive day today search continued for the accomplices of the attackers.
