Camp to educate villagers on malaria

Pondicherry June 30. A programme for prevention of malaria was recently held by the Primary Health Centre, Kuyavarpalayam, in collaboration with voluntary organisations such as People's Welfare Association and the Pudhuvai Pradesha Annai Indira Gandhi Jananayaga Peravai at Vinoba Nagar near here recently.

N.M. Mohan, president of the Peravai, said in a communication today that the BJP legislator, A.M. Krishnamoorthy, inaugurated the camp. Blood smears colleced from about 240 persons were tested and results announced on the spot.

S. Sreeramamoorthy, medical officer of the PHC, and representatives of voluntary organisations spoke on steps to be taken to prevent malaria.
