BANGALORE, JUNE 25. The State Government has issued guidelines for departments implementing the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund Scheme for its sectoral distribution and clearing of individual projects for proposing to NABARD for loan assistance. The Government has directed the administrative departments to identify the works to be taken up for assistance during the year based on the eligibility criteria of Nabard, get detailed estimates worked out from the field-level functionaries, and send identified works and details in the prescribed format to the Finance Department for placing them before the Cabinet sub-committee for clearance. The Government has also issued guidelines to the departments concerned to take steps to execute the sanctioned works within the prescribed time, spend from their budgetary provisions initially, and prefer reimbursement claims to Nabard, according to a Government circular issued by the Development Commissioner, Vijay Gore.
