Govt. reconstitutes board

BANGALORE JUNE 25. The State Government has reconstituted the 21-member State Supervisory Board for Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostics Techniques under the chairmanship of the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Kagodu Thimmappa, to aid and advise the appropriate authority in discharging duties envisaged in the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostics Techniques (prohibition of sex selection) Act 1994. The Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) is the Vice-Chairman. The Principal Secretary (Women and Child Development, the Principal Secretary (Social Welfare), the Secretary (Law), the Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare Services and Indian Systems of Medicines and Homoeopathy, the member of Legislative Council, Umashree, the member of Legislative Assembly, Parvathamma Srikantaiah, and Bhagirathi Marulasiddana Gowda are among the other prominent members of the board.
