Pending cases

Sir, — It is distressing to note that the pendancy of cases in all courts has reached alarming proportions. First appeals and second appeals are pending before the High Court for decades.

It is stated that in the district courts, motor vehicles cases are pilling up. The main reason seems to be want of judges to deal with them and the financial crunch the State exchequer is facing.

T. Sourirajan,

Chennai
