Chambi Puranik
Dr. Puranik has been nominated on the basis of his expertise and contribution to open and distance education. He will make suggestions on extending financial support to open universities and correspondence course institutions under various schemes. Dr. Puranik has contributed to the innovative and multimedia projects for producing quality study material, organising seminars, workshops (national and international) in open and distance learning, and preparation of audio and video CDs in Kannada, English, and other languages at the KSOU. He will soon visit Rajarishi Tandon Open University and Nalanda Open University as part of the first phase of the review and evaluation of the utilisation of development grants, unassigned grants, research grants, travel grants, and support for organising conference/seminars of open universities.
