Normalcy returns to city

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD June 7. The situation in the trouble-torn areas of the old city of Hyderabad returned to normalcy with no fresh untoward incidents being reported on Saturday. A massive police force drawn from AndhraPradesh Special Police, Rapid Action Force (RAF) and police contingents from nearby districts have been assisting the city police in maintaining law and order.

The tight security arrangements will continue for some more time since there would be a massive gathering in Hyderabad on Sunday when the famous fish medicine would be administered to Ashtma patients. More than five lakh people are expected to take the fish medicine. Communal violence broke out in Asifnagar and Habeebnagar police stations limits following a trivial incident two days ago claiming one life and injuries to scores of people. The Andhra Pradesh Government had already ordered a judicial probe into the communal incidents.
