Possession of mosque extended

KOZHIKODE JUNE 7. The District Collector, T.O. Sooraj, has extended the district administration's takeover of the Marad Juma Masjid, where a large cache of deadly weapons were seized after the Marad massacre, by one week.

The district administration's takeover period had ended on Friday. The Collector, in his capacity as district magistrate, has extended the takeover following a request of the City Police Commissioner, T.K. Vinodkumar.
