Having failed to clear the examination, a fifth class student committed suicide on Sunday. Padmaja (12), a resident of Allugada Bavi, committed suicide by hanging herself. The Chilkalguda police have registered a case.
Jealousy prompts suicide
A student (17) committed suicide after realising that a friend of his had scored more marks than him. According to information available, K. Subba Reddy, a resident of Jawaharnagar, was a student of Intermediate first year. It was said that he immolated himself this morning on realising that he was lagging behind in marks and that a friend had scored 15 marks more.
Model dies in mishap
An aspiring model was killed in a road accident at Banjara Hills on Saturday night. Neha (19) was killed when the car in which she was travelling hit a road divider at Banjara Hills. She was said to be returning from an event organised on city outskirts. Neha, who received grievous injuries, succumbed by the time she was shifted to Apollo Hospital. Another person, Mahender, travelling in the car was also injured in the mishap and was admitted to the hospital.
