Swamy calls for CBI probe into `corruption'

CHENNAI MAY 25. The Janata Party president, Subramanian Swamy, today demanded a CBI enquiry into the alleged corruption in the Union Finance Ministry when Gingee Ramachandran was Minister of State for Finance.

In a release here, he said Mr. Ramachandran was a member of the MDMK whose party leader, Vaiko, was in prison under provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act, for advocating the cause of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
