Special school for mentally challenged children

Pondicherry May 25. A special school for children with multiple mental disabilities, called Satya Special School, will start functioning at Clinic Nallam on Easwaran Koil Street here on June 4.

The director of the clinic and patron of the school, V. Nallam, said in a communication today that the school would provide specialised education through yoga, music, dance therapy and vocational training to enable children to become part of the social mainstream.

A governing body would mange the school and personnel from medical fraternity would be office-bearers of the management committee.
