VHP activists disrupt press meet

Ahmedabad May 25. Some persons claiming to be VHP activists disrupted a press meet organised by the Vishwa Boudh Sangh (VBS) in Vadodara yesterday and ransacked the place, terming the activities of the organisation as ``anti-Hindu,'' police said here today.

Police, however, did not register a case, as the VBS members decided not to file a complaint, officials said.

About eight to 10 persons, led by the Dharma Prasar Samiti president, Anant Anand, which operates as VHP's Vadodara city unit, allegedly stormed the venue, hurled abuses that the VBS was distributing anti-Hindu material, and ransacked the place.— PTI
