Colourful start to Tirumala fete

TIRUMALA MAY 10. The three-day annual Padmavathi Parinayotsavam took off on a colourful start today.

The processional deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy were taken around to the venue - Narayanagiri gardens in a grand procession. The sprawling Narayanagiri gardens was colourfully illuminated for the purpose. Huge electrical images of various avatharas of Lord, were erected on all the sides of the garden. In connection with the festival, the TTD had cancelled all the afternoon rituals.
