Resuming at 10-2 and needing 230 more runs for a win, Merchant XI lost overnight batsman Prathamesh Kanavaje, medium-pacer Vivian Koli shattering the stumps. The fourth wicket pair of Sanket Bhaye (60 runs, 51 balls, 8x4, 2x6) and Nitin Bhor put together an invaluable 97-runs stand in 13.3 overs before left-arm medium-pacer Abhisekh Bartakke sent back the former. Rangnekar XI went on to claim wickets at regular intervals to bowl out its rival for 165, left-arm spinner Varun Ponkshe finishing with six for 40 in 11.3 overs. In another match at Parsee Gymkhana, Manjrekar XI (43 for no loss overnight), went on to pile up 394-8 before declaration. Raunak Sachdeva hit 100 not out off 110 balls, aided by 11 fours, four sixes, besides contributions from skipper Hiken Shah (77) and Sunil Lingayat (56). Set to score 293 to win, Phadkar XI ended up with 50 for no loss at stumps. The scores: Khandu Rangnekar XI 168 and 260 bt Vijay Manjrekar XI 189 and 165 (Sanket Bhaye 60, Nitin Bhor 45, Varun Ponkshe 6-40) by 74 runs. Vijay Manjrekar XI 229 and 394-8 decl (Devraj Raut 52, Hiken Shah 77, Sunil Lingayat 56, Raunak Sachdeva 100 not out, Vikram Yelligatti 3-108) drew with Dattu Phadkar XI 331 and 50 for no loss.
