LONDON: Bart Simpson (shown with his parents in picture), the cartoon character in The Simpsons TV show, has the greatest role model influence on British kids, according to a survey by toy company Tomy. According to it, nearly four out of ten mums and dads reckon that their children look up to the TV character while Bart's clever, hard-working sister Lisa barely gets a look in as only one in a hundred parents thinks their offspring rate her as a cool character to imitate. The study, conducted among parents of 5,000 children till age 12, revealed the top ten of the most important role models for children: Bart Simpson (37 per cent), Harry Potter (22), Dennis the Menace (10), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (9), Harry Potter's pal Hermione Gingold (8), Bob the Builder (7), Batman (3), Postman Pat (2), Tommy from Rugrats (1) and Lisa Simpson (1).
