KOLKATA: Magsaysay award winner and eminent writer Mahasweta Devi, after earning accolades for a Bengali tele-serial, is now all set to enter films. "I am ready to sell my stories for films. But the only condition is that the producer should stick to my original story without making any changes." Now that many women-oriented films were being made, "I hope some producer approaches me knowing that I mostly write on women-related issues and topics that concern their uplift." On her serial `Proti Chuanno Minute' (Every 54 minutes), she said, "It completed its 300th episode with very high TRP ratings." The serial was based on the National Crime Bureau's report, which said that one woman was "violated every 54 minutes" in the country. PTI
