Syncope syndrome

Sir, — In recent years, many a person who is convicted by court suffers syncope and is admitted to the intensive care unit and escapes punishment by obtaining bail while in hospital. The syndrome particularly seems to have affected the people of Kerala. If we can make a genetic map of people prone to this disease, prophylactic steps could be taken.

Balasubramanian,
Ambalapara, Kerala
