LTTE 'not to resume war'

By V.S. Sambandan

COLOMBO APRIL 23. The LTTE has described its unilateral suspension of talks with Colombo as the ``end of the honeymoon'', but maintained that it would ``not resume war''. Launching a political offensive in the northern peninsula, senior rebel political functionary, V. Balakumaran, said Monday's move signalled the end of their ``soft approach'' at the talks.

In southern Sri Lanka, opposition parties demanded an immediate Parliamentary session to debate the crisis.
