Issuing a stern warning, he said the leadership would not tolerate internal bickering and groupism. These elements should forget the idea of seeking shelter from their mentors since the party was not prepared to brook indiscipline by anyone however high they may be. Mr. Naidu made these observations at a press conference following reports of slogan-shouting, fisticuffs and `rasta roko' at the election venues in Nellore, Hanamkonda, Ramannapet, Pulivendla, Karimnagar and other places. He announced the suspension of Srinivas, V. Bhaskar Reddy, N. Srinivas Reddy, D. Venkat Rao and Shami in Nellore, D. Shankar in Hassanparthi and S. Somi Reddy, B. Ramana Reddy and Md. Wahab in Ramannapet. He said he had sought a report into the physical exchanges between two groups in Pulivendla but dismissed as `exaggerated' reports about trouble in Alair, Nalgonda and Palakonda. The TDP chief said party polls could not be held in five of the 94 Assembly segments planned for Tuesday due to different reasons. They are: Kavali, Rajampet, Boath, Kondepi and Panyam.
