Policemen throng Kanteerava Stadium

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE April 22. For policemen, all roads lead to Sri Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, which is the venue of the two-day exhibition of stolen properties.

Inspectors of most of the 80-odd police stations in the City, a number of Assistant Commissioners of Police, nearly a dozen officers of the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police and above, scores of sub-inspectors, head constables, and constables, were present in large numbers at the stadium.

Not to be left behind, traffic policemen, too seemed to be making a beeline to the stadium. No wonder, they outnumbered the visitors to the stalls. People were overheard commenting about the unnecessarily huge presence of police. One of them wondered whether there was a major law and order problem.
