``We are completely disillusioned by this absolutely indifferent attitude of the Government, especially the Union Finance Ministry'', President of Ahmedabad Textile Hand Processors Association (ATHPA) Bharat Chhajed said, in a statement here. Chhajed said the Textile industry is the bread and butter of more than 12 million people, but a large number of them are now on the verge of utter starvation. He said it was ``ironical'' that despite large number of MP's agreeing that imposition of CED on textile-hand-processing units would spell doom for the industry, nothing has been done so far in this regard. The hand-processing-units in Gujarat have incurred production losses to the tune of Rs 100 crores since the indefinite strike started on April 1, while the export losses were nearly Rs 40 crores, Chhajed said.
