Under the new avatar, two variants for business class passengers and four for economy class travellers have been devised by the private airline. The Indian cricket captain, Saurav Ganguly, has been signed as the brand ambassador to promote the newly refurbished scheme. Under the "Pan India Super Sixer'' scheme, a business class passenger can travel to any six destinations on the Air Sahara network by paying Rs. 58,000. In its second variant "Select Super Sixer,'' specified sectors are provided at Rs. 48,000. For the economy class travellers, the scheme begins at the lowest range of Rs. 24,000 for specified sectors and goes up to any six destinations for Rs. 46,000. All the variants of Super Sixer have a validity of six months and the fliers would have the option to migrate from one brand of "Sixer and Super Sixer'' to another by paying nominal fees. The CEO of Air Sahara, Uttam Kumar Bose, said the scheme, launched last year, were well received by air travellers. "We decided to give the scheme another push by adding new features to tackle the low sentiments in the aviation industry due to the war in Iraq and rise in aviation fuel prices,'' he said.
