ANAHEIM (California): Champion golfer Tiger Woods has donated $5 million to build a youth education centre that's expected to open next year. The Tiger Woods Learning Center will be free to youths between eight and 17 years of age and include a 35,000-sq. ft. education centre next to a 23-acre site that will be used for golf instruction. The centre will be open 12 hours a day and will offer math, language arts and science tutoring, as well as character development programs. Woods, the top-ranked golfer in the world, plans to open other facilities over the next several years under the umbrella of the foundation that bears his name. AP
