Tillekeratne is Test skipper; Atapattu one-day captain

Colombo April 17. Left-handed batsman Hashan Tillekeratne was on Thursday named the captain of Sri Lankan Test team, while Marvan Atapattu was given the charge of the one-day side.

The 36-year-old Tillekeratne will take charge immediately, leading Sri Lanka in the two Test home series against New Zealand starting on April 25. The appointments came in the wake of the resignation by Sanath Jayasuriya, who captained the team in both Tests and one-dayers.
