Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
In the neighbouring Patelnagar and Feroznagar areas too, the forms were handed over to a youth by a MCH employee instead of distributing them among the electors, according to Mohd. Nazeeruddin, Majlis corporator of Nampally. The Elector Photo Identity Card programme in the Asifnagar Constituency would be held on Saturday and Sunday. Mr. Nazeeruddin said that he brought this incident to the notice of Laxmi Reddy, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Circle IV, but the latter did not bother to take any action. Ultimately Mr. Nazeeruddin himself distributed the forms to the right persons in his area. Not just this. The MCH has also erred in spelling the names and addresses of the voters. For instance, several residents of Red Hills, who received the EPIC-001 forms on Thursday, were pleasantly surprised to find their addresses changed. For example, the house bearing door number 11-5-159, which is in Red Hills, is placed in Tirmulgherry. "Since when has Tirmulgherry become part of the Asifnagar Constituency," asked the bewildered resident.
